The cost of heating energy has almost doubled in the last ten years. Almost two-thirds of energy consumption in German households is accounted for by achieving the desired room temperature. Reasons for choosing internal insulation
An estimated 40% of energy costs are lost through external walls . Insulation is definitely a good and worthwhile choice. However, insulating a building from the outside is often not possible or practical. On the one hand, the high cost does not justify the benefits, and on the other hand, the durability of such external insulation is limited to approximately 30 years. Sometimes, structural solutions also argue against it: only a few rooms are to be insulated, not the entire house.
